“For four days, from 23 to 26 August, Paraty performs one of the largest festivals dedicated to the spirits in the country. The Festival of the Drip in its twenty-fifth edition, concludes that the product has made the city famous in colonial times, arousing the jealousy of the Portuguese bagaceira. The sugar cane spirit was the first Brazilian to desbancar product colonial similar Europeans in the international market. Almost as old as Brazil, cachaça was a natural consequence of the implementation of the sugar agribusiness by the Portuguese colonizers.”
